Ferran Torres.. Barcelona's golden alternative

Ferran Torres has become Barcelona's "golden substitute" after his wonderful assist against Benfica in the Champions League.

Barcelona trailed 4-2 against Benfica on Tuesday, less than a quarter of an hour before the end of the match, and eventually won 5-4 in the seventh round of the Champions League.

Torres came on as a substitute against Benfica, and provided a wonderful pass to the Brazilian Rafinha who scored the fifth goal in the 90+6th minute.

The Catalan newspaper "Sport" reported that Torres is the fourth best scorer in Barcelona with 6 goals and 3 assists, after the main trio Lewandowski (28 goals) Rafinha (22 goals) and Lamine Yamal (9 goals).

The Spanish striker has 5 goals and 2 assists as a substitute, as he scored two goals in the Borussia Dortmund match in the Champions League when he entered in the 71st minute with the score 1-1.

In the Spanish League against Real Betis, Torres came on and scored in the last minutes to make it 1-2 before the match ended in a draw.

Against Valladolid, Ferran scored and assisted in just 17 minutes in Barcelona's 7-0 win.

Torres also scored in the Copa del Rey last week against Real Betis.
